To mark the milestone, a Renault Clio will be installed within a giant birdcage, adorned with thousands of beautifully designed padlocks that unveil prizes, outside King’s Cross St Pancras station, London. The striking Moulin Rouge-esque cage will house the latest Clio model and will be on display from 26-27 April 2016.

Towering at over seven metres high, the unique love lock installation will celebrate the brand’s French essence and sexy design through the elegant burlesque-themed cage, while celebrating modern French culture with the bespoke padlocks, reminiscent of those seen on Parisian bridges.

In celebration of the Clio’s anniversary, passers-by will be given the opportunity to unlock their Va Va Voom with 25 of the locks revealing amazing prizes including a star prize of a Va Va Voom trip for two to Paris, the brand’s home city. The winner and a friend will be whisked away for a three-night trip to stay at a top boutique hotel while also being treated to first-class French cuisine and cocktails at the city’s trendiest restaurants and bars. Another lucky winner will be pampered with a day of beauty treatments at a leading French spa in the UK and given a style revamp from a top French clothing brand

Other prizes include a mouth-watering meal for two at Michelin star restaurant Galvin at Windows, tasty macarons from luxury Parisian tearoom Ladurée and L’Occitane beauty product vouchers. People will be encouraged to add their own Parisian inspired love locks to the sea of padlocks.

“The birdcage not only allows people to take in the beauty and practicality of the latest Clio model, but it also gives them the opportunity to experience the brand’s wonderful French heritage and unlock their own Va Va Voom by winning brilliant prizes including a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Paris.”

The birdcage itself will be made from aluminium, complete with a plush red velvet swing. The public will be encouraged to take snaps of the installation and share it across their social channels with the official hashtag, #Clio25.
