Rihanna is suing over her home in the LA area, which she claims has serious structural defects.
The S&M star sued Prudential California Realty and other companies that were involved in designing and inspecting the house on Wednesday.
The singer’s lawsuit claims that the damage from a rainstorm left her home “uninhabitable” because the property lacked proper drainage.
She said water leaked from a balcony into several rooms of the house after a rainstorm last year.
Rihanna says: 'I love to be spanked and whipped'
The 23-year-old singer bought her home, in the LA area, for $6.9 million in 2009 and claims that she would not have paid so much if she knew the house had problems.
Her case argues that the company who carried out renovations to the home Landmark Design Group failed to repair what was needed.
Landmark Design Group declined to comment, saying that the company does not discuss pending lawsuits.
And it has been a tough week for Rihanna all round – when her latest wax figure was unveiled at Berlin’s Madame Tussauds on Monday, it was sporting an outdated hairstyle.
The waxwork had the star’s old fiery red hair, although the singer has recently been spotted with auburn tresses.
