The West London Coroner’s Office have confirmed that the post-mortem took place today, and results did not reveal how Mr Mayall had died.
His wife, the make up artist Barbara Robbin, spoke to reporters after her husband had died and said that nobody knew what had happened.
Speaking to reporters earlier this week, she said: “He had a strong heart so I don’t think it was a heart attack.
“Maybe he had a fit, maybe it was his heart.”
The West London Coroner’s Office have said that further tests will be required in order to find out how Mr Mayall died.
