A wee dram

Scotland’s whisky distilleries produce some of the world’s finest liquor. High taxes mean it’s expensive to buy whisky anywhere in Scotland, but fortunately, most of the distilleries run tours and tastings so you can try a ‘wee dram’. It’s worth trying a few different distilleries, because the taste of the whisky can vary greatly and you’ll have experts on hand to explain what’s what.

Amazing seafood

With miles upon miles of coastline and rivers and lakes, it’s no surprise the Highlands is home to some great seafood.

Haggis

Of course, Scotland is famous for haggis. It’s well worth trying, and nowhere near as weird as you might expect.
