A high-profile hunt has ensued and the missing woman ‘s family and boyfriend have appealed for information.

A man was arrested earlier today and a white police tent was today erected in the front garden of a semi-detached house on Ashbury Avenue in Swindon.

Three police vans were parked outside the house and the area was cordoned off.

Earlier today, O’Callaghan’s family thanked members of the public who have helped in the search for Sian.

“The sheer numbers of people who have given up their time to help search for Sian and distribute appeal posters are overwhelming and we couldn’t ask for better support from the public, police and media,” the family said in a statement.

“This is an extremely difficult time for us and we continue to hope and pray that our beautiful girl is found soon.”

Sadly, it looks as though Sian O’Callaghan has not been found alive.

More information concerning the two bodies that have been found will be coming soon, Swindon police said.
