Snoop Dogg has been booked to play Lovebox Festival in London’s Victoria Park this summer, joining Scissor Sisters, The Drums and Blondie, among others.
Lovebox will be Snoop Dogg & The Dogg Pound’s only UK festival performance this year.
The legendary Snoop will be performing his 1993 album Doggystyle in full at the festie and will be joined by guests Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Warren G.
A statement from Lovebox said:
“The Doggystyle album has hit quadruple platinum selling status and spawned several hit singles including ‘What’s My Name’ and ‘Gin & Juice’, featuring many guests from the Death Row Label.
“Lovebox will be reuniting the Death Row heavy weights on stage for what is set to be the festival collaboration of the entire 2011 season.”
Also in this year’s line-up are Scissor Sisters, The Drums and Blondie, Robyn, Kelis, Lykke Li, Metronomy and Katy B.
If you haven’t been to Lovebox yet, make sure you put it on your festival list this summer.
The East London favourite has grown year by year since it was founded in 2002 by dance duo, Groove Armada. It’s a chance to hear a mish-mash of music and get wasted in the park without the palaver of camping.
Lovebox is spread across three days from July 15-17.
Tickets went on sale today at 9am. Early bird offers are available. lovebox.net
