The Environment Agency has issued 18 flood warnings for the south west and the Met Office two amber warnings for snow across the UK.
Transport links have been hit. Leeds Airport suffered runway closure due to heavy snow fall, and 40,000 homes and businesses in Northern Ireland lost power due to the fierce winds.
The south west has been subjected to flooding, with areas around Penzance and St Ives severely flooded in particular. Some areas are facing a predicted 50-75mm of rain in a 24-48 period.
Some areas of north-west England, north Wales and southern Scotland have been warned to expect up to 20cm of snow today.
It is, in case you hadn’t noticed, just over a week until the clocks go forward and it is officially British Summer Time.
