Hollywood’s love affair with the 1980s continues with a decent remake that sees kung fu master (Jackie Chan) take a youngster (Jaden Smith) under his wing.

It’s too long, but with China forming a stunning backdrop and Chan giving a moving performance, this will delight those who spent their childhood doing ‘the crane’.
