Burlesque has only recently re-emerged from the underground and is now taking centre stage across London. But Cafe de Paris has never tried to hide its dark side; in fact it’s been luring in punters with its siren call for 90 years.

When seedy strip joints and lap-dance clubs dominated the streets, Cafe de Paris steadfastly held on to its seriously sexy allure of showing a lot, but never all, and using feathers, lace and sparkle as props as opposed to leather, stilettos and a shiny pole.

On Friday nights, the famous club hosts The London Cabaret Club, and TNT spent the evening being visually seduced by each and every act. From the Dita Von Teese-esque striptease, to the gorgeous mechanic who wound his way into the air using only silk – and his muscles (flustered), to the hilarious duo who penned a song on having a ‘Danger Wank’ (pictured), each act had us either laughing, gasping, or crossing our legs.

Combined with a delicious gourmet three-course meal (I had fois gras, steak and brownie, er yum), flowing wine and tables designed for big groups of friends looking for a fun and unique night out in London, Cafe de Paris may be 90-years-old, but she’s still as hot as ever.
