Throughout April, are friends at D&D London are celebrating “The wonderful wines of Aus” and pouring the very best that Australia has to offer.
There will be new wines in each of the participating restaurants (Bluebird, Coq d’Argent, Fish Market, Kensington Place, Le Pont de la Tour, New Street Grill, Orrery, Plateau, Quaglinos, Skylon), bars and shops (Bluebird Wine Cellar, Le Pont de la Tour Wine Merchant, New Street Wine Shop) from Australia’s greatest family producers and most innovative up-and-coming wineries. Elsewhere guests will get to try truly iconic wines like ‘Grange’ and meet wine experts like BBC Saturday Kitchen’s Jane Parkinson and top wine-writer and Australia expert, ‘The Wine Detective‘.
In the East, Le Pont de la Tour Head chef, Tom Cook, will be cooking up some of his favourite dishes from his time in the kitchens of Sydney all month on the pop-up Australian garden terrace. While in the West, Bluebird’s Aussie chef, Matt Robinson, will be serving Barramundi and Kangaroo to pair with the wines he loves the most.

Sarah Ahmed, is one of the UK’s leading authorities on Australian wine and she will be presenting five great Australian wines, all with links to France, alongside dishes created by head chef, Tom Cook.
“MEAT-UP” CLUB – Tuesday 21 April at 6:30pm, New Street Grill
First of a new series of monthly get-togethers, tasting first-class Australian wines alongside New Street Grill’s renowned steaks.
“ANTOINE’S AUSTRALIA” WINE DINNER – Tuesday 21 April at 6:30pm, Le Pont de la Tour
Respected head sommelier, Antoine Dugand, will introduce some of his favourite Australian wines over dinner in the private dining room.
AN EVENING WITH JANE PARKINSON – Wednesday 22 April at 7pm, Orrery
Saturday Kitchen’s Jane Parkinson will present five of her favourite Australian wines and report back from her recent visit down-under.
ABORIGINAL ART DINNER – Wednesday 29 April at 6:30pm, Blueprint Café
Bay Gallery director, Alexandra, O’Brien, will talk through the fascinating history of aboriginal art, over dinner with matching Australian wines.
PENFOLDS DINNER – Thursday 30 April at 7pm, Quaglinos
An evening discovering the Penfolds range, featuring a tasting of iconic wine, Grange.
