Hosted by Shivannah (a self-confessed bearded immigrant trannie with a soft voice and mildly risqué patter) this isn’t the sort of show you’d want to go to alone. Far better to share the embarrassment as Evil Hate Monkey (who, according to the cast list, claims to have been throwing his pooh at audiences for over a decade – lovely!) entices a mortified member of the audience to partake of his favourite food. His toe-crunching prancing on pointe would bring tears to the eyes of the most experienced ballerina – and I’m far too polite to mention some of the other things this raunchy all male septet gets up to in this circus meets cabaret boylesque spectacular which is – with good reason- billed as strictly for over 16s.
The Juvenile Delinquent Louis Biggs does nifty things with a Rubik’s cube and has naughty fun with a yoyo, and there are aerial acrobatics, fancy costumes with balloon boobs, all served up with a plethora of posing pouches. And you might even find yourself downing a shot of Tequila served up in a somewhat unconventional manner in the Spiegel tent’s final show this summer.
