Veteran weatherman, Alex Deakin, was giving a run-of-the-mill forecast last Saturday night when sweary disaster struck. Fortunately he maintained his composure and finished the forecast without further mishaps.
“I think the less said the better about that last broadcast,” tweeted Deakin.
Fellow tweeters seemed confused that Deakin had managed to confused the word “c***” with “sunshine”.
Deakin’s slip of the tongue is just the latest in a string of c-word related gaffes that have hit BBC broadcasters.
The Today Programme’s James Naughtie hit the headlines after he, perhaps more understandably, mispronounced “Jeremy Hunt the culture secretary,” with Andrew Marr making the same mistake reporting on the event later that day.
