Daniel Jovanov, who also goes by the name Human Car Sounds, produced the whine of the Red Bull formula one car driven by Mark Webber – complete with team radio communication and the sound of a tyre change at a pit stop.
He then moved on to a rotary-engined Mazda RX3 drag-racer and even added a blow-off valve.
Next it was another drag racer, a Holden Torana V8 – Jovanov even managing to imitate the car doing a wheelstand.
The judges were impressed, with Dannii Minogue giving Human Car Sounds a standing ovation.
“That wasn’t good or great – it was fully sick dude,” Minogue says. “If you could do a Shelby, I’d be made,” she said.
Jovanov instantly produced an impression of the V8 coupe. He has made it through to the next round of the show.
The video was picked up by a beat box enthusiast channel and his hit counter has risen by more than 60,000 in a few days.
Jovanov was the star of a 2009 YouTube video, the recipient of more than 700,00 hits, doing impressions of cars on demand.
