Commuters were given a dose of Christmas cheer, whether they wanted it or not, when pranksters from the Shelter charity invaded their train.

Mince pies and presents all round, plus elves, tinsel and snogs for Santa from his saucy helper.

There’s a serious note to all the festive tube chaos and misbehaviour though. Shelter have accompanied the video with the following message.

‘Christmas doesn’t always happen where you expect. For these commuters it’s not much more than an irritating fellow passenger in a red suit — but for 75,000 children it’s the reality of spending Christmas in temporary accommodation, instead of in their own home.’
