Dennis Rodman’s ‘basketball diplomacy’ visit to North Korea bounces on with footage revealing a scarily adoring crowd of thousands attending a Harlem Globetrotter’s basketball exhibition match, with Kim Jong Un and Rodman in the best seats.
“He don’t want war, that’s one thing he don’t want. He loves power. He loves control…But he’s just…he’s a great guy. He’s just a great guy. You sit down and talk to him,” Rodman said this week.
The rebellious star also suggested that Kim Jong Un wants US president Barack Obama to give him a call for a chat.
Rodman was interviewed by US TV presenter and journalist George Stephanopoulos (see video below), who attempted to remind Rodman about North Korea’s appaling human rights record.
“He’s a great guy who’s put 200,000 in prison camps?” said Stephanopoulos
“Guess what? We have prison camps here too.” retorted Rodman.
