Five actresses were transformed into Miss Havisham, the sinister spinster in Great Expectations, and they were unleashed on London this morning.
The ladies spent three hours being made up, and they met at Big Ben at 8.40am – the time that Dickens’ most horrible bride-to-be was jilted by her fiance and stopped all the clocks in her home. The Havishams also visited Westminster Abbey, the final place of Charles Dickens.
It’s not known if the ladies found any potential suitors on the Tube, but if you saw them about and wanted to give them your phone number, please give us a shout.
The models were commissioned to appear to celebrate the screening of Great Expectations on Drama this Sunday at 6pm.
The video below shows how the stunt was pulled together – enjoy!
