According to reports, the croc latched onto handler Trent Burton’s hand while he was presenting a feeding show at the zoo south of Sydney.
He was then dragged to the floor and into the water in the enclosure by a 3.7m male – with spectators looking on in horror.
The Daily Telegraph reported that he quickly managed to break free and escape the water, sustaining wounds to his hand that required hospital treatment but were not life threatening.
The moral of the story? Don’t feed crocs. Ever.
