Whether a general grumble or a specific bleat, audience members are invited to send in their satirico-queries in advance. Zaltzman will butter their political hot potato to order, and then serve it back to them at the show of their choosing.

He’s established himself as one of Britain’s most inventive comedians with his distinctive brand of political comedy. A regular at the Edinburgh Festival since being nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 2001, in 2004 and 2005, Zaltzman and John Oliver performed sell-out Edinburgh Fringe runs as a double act.  In 2007, he performed at the Melbourne Festival, winning the comedians’ comedian Piece Of Wood Award.

He and Oliver had previously co-written and starred in the BBC Radio 4 shows The Department and Political Animal (based on their live political stand-up show).  In 2009, Zaltzman also wrote and starred in his own Radio 4 series, Andy Zaltzman’s History Of The Third Millennium (Series 1 of 100), and conceived and hosted Yes! It’s The Ashes for BBC Radio 5Live.
