Dannii Minogue a 'nightmare' after giving birth, forcing Kris Smith to distance himself from 'Minogue inc'

Sydney's Daily Telegraph quoted a source as saying the pair broke up because "Kris is just an easygoing guy ... He's not up for all the stuff that goes along with being part of the Minogue corporation."

Minogue confirmed her split from Mancunian model Kris via Twitter yesterday, insisting that the pair "still care for each other".

The Sydney Daily Telegraph reported that sources said Dannii had become "colder" and "a nightmare" to live with after son Ethan was born.

Dannii is believed to have escaped the media storm around the end of her relationship by going on holiday at the Great Barrier Reef.

She told her fans via Twitter: "Needing to retreat for a while. thank you for your ever loving support."

Rumours are swirling that Kris's close relationships with a number of models were to blame for the split.
