Bognor Regis gets the Bond treatment as traveller flock to seaside destination

Much-maligned Brit seaside resort Bognor Regis is enjoying some unprecedented popularity after it was announced scenes from the new James Bond film will be shot there.

Previous Bond movies have been filmed on location in the likes of Jamaica, Brazil and Thailand, so the decision to bring 007 to Bognor suggests times are hard in the film industry, too.

But it’s good news for this unglamorous getaway in West Sussex, at least, where hotel bookings are said to have leapt by 40 per cent since the news broke.
