If you can still pole vault like Dr, William Bell when you reach the grand old age of 90, you deserve a lot of respect.

William Bell, the father of Olympic silver medal winner Earl Bell, set an unofficial record for pole vaulting in this video.

The father and son team still train together in their home gym in Bono, Arkansas - son and medal winner Earl Bell is recognised as one the of leading figures in American pole vault coaching according to Total Pro Sports.

Dr. Bell, the father of this amazing duo, is a regular vaulter - he still train three times a week at the gym. In the video below you can see the elderly but spritely gent clear a height of 7'2. Wow.

Earl Bell once held the world record for pole vaulting when he cleared 5.79 metres in 1976. Sergey Bubka holds the current outdoor world record at 6.14 metres.
