Police officers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire responded to a call describing “A bit of pushing and shoving” over the weekend as two ladies becamed embroiled in something of a to-do over some cleaning products.
If reports are to be believed one woman, a regular bingo player was upset that another woman had set up a stall selling Avon products, which apparently isn’t really in the spirit of the thing.
“The altercation appears to have been started over the fact that one resident was upsetting another by (selling Avon and disrupting) the scheduled bingo evening that was going on,” said Sgt. Kuffer Kaltenborn of the Portsmouth Police.
Officers broke up the brawl and went back to their regular weekend beats, only to be interrupted again a few hours later to find that one of the women (presumably the one selling the Avon products) wanted to press charges against the other.
The names of the two bingo battlers have yet to be released as Portsmouth police are still investigating whether or not charges of assault are worth pressing.
