From Maidstone, Fox was on a gap year in Australia and died when the 4×4 she was travelling in flipped during a three-day trip to Fraser Island.
The crash, which is currently being investigated by police, also injured seven others. It was the first fatal crash on the island in nearly five years.
She had spoken of her excitement at the trip, posting on her Facebook page: “Up early doors to travel Frazer Island for three days.” She had been travelling in Australia for six months.
Friends have paid tribute to her on Twitter, saying:
Ross Grant wrote: “RIP to Jade Fox. Poor girl. Crazy to think i saw her group leave the hostel to do the tour and was on the island when it happened. So sad.”
Debbie Louise posted: “RIP to a beautiful girl who had her whole life ahead of her. God gained an angel.”
