Abu Nusaybah, 31, appeared on the BBC’s flagship news programme Newsnight and claimed that Adebolajo had been offered a job by MI5.
He was arrested immediately afterwards outside of the BBC’s New Broadcasting House in London.
Nusaybah has since been arrested under the Terrorism Act under charges realated to allegations that he “published or caused another to publish” a series of video lectures called ‘In Pursuit of Allah’s Governance on the Earth’, as well as other texts and lectures.
He has been charged under his real name, Ibrahim Abdullah-Hassan and is due to appear in court at the Old Bailey on 28 July. The charges, which he denies, are not related to the death of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich.
