Her single Rolling in the Deep is up for best song, musically and lyrically, which is up against Florence and the Machine’s Shake it Out and Ed Sheeran’s The A Team.

Her album, 21, was nominated for the album award, in an all-female shortlist alongside Kate Bush’s 50 Words for Snow and Let England Shake by PJ Harvey.

21 has now sold over 4,142,000 copies in the UK, making it the sixth biggest-selling album of all-time.

Rolling in the Deep and Somone Like You are nominated for most performed work, up against Take That’s The Flood.

The Ivor Novellos, in their 57th year, celebrate excellence in songwriting and composing, and previous winners have included Sir Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and Sting.

This year’s ceremony will happen on May 17 at Grosvenor House in Mayfair.
