The day will feature a number of Down Under inspired entertainment including music, a quiz and even a didgeridoo workshop. Kangaroos not included.
The theme is inspired by General Manager, Andre Klein, who spent 16 years working in the racing industry in New Zealand and Australia before taking over at Warwick Racecourse last year. The man knows his stuff and should have a few of your favourite icons there, meat pies, vegemite on toast and Kylie Minogue coming out of a disco ball. Okay the chances of that happening are slim, but you get what I’m saying. It’s a time for you to come together with your mates and have a great day out.
Warwick has been at the heart of British racing for 260 years and is one of the country’s most famous racecourses. If you’re a fan of the horses then chances are you will have seen it on TV.
It is easily accessible from all over the country, and from London it’s just over an hour on the train.
Advance tickets for the day start from £12.50 per person (if you’re not an Aussie or Kiwi) and are available from www.warwickracecourse.co.uk.
Gates open at 12.10pm, with the first race at 2.00pm, giving you time to get a few schooners down your neck before the racing starts. And if you feel like spending your winnings treat yourself to a delicious three course meal for £95.
