After a long day on the slopes, nothing beats a large glass of French red wine at après ski. You’re in France, so the quality of the wine is generally top notch, though prices can be a bit expensive in some of the restaurants.
The steaming cups of chocolate chaud that are served around town are also another great way to warm up after a chilly day in the snow.
Crusty baguettes and croissants are on the menu throughout the day, with a cute little patisserie in the centre of Avoriaz doing a roaring trade. You’ll also be able to pick up a number of sweet pastries, and use the internet for free.
There are a few restaurants to chose from in Avoriaz but most focus on French fare, including cheese fondue, or are pizza joints.
