The bear was wandering on a highway near Boulder, Colorado, when it was struck and killed by two vehicles.

A spokesperson for Colorado’s Parks and Wildlife department told reporters that the bear had been tagged after its famous fall, making identification possible.

Neither of the cars’ drivers were seriously hurt in the crash. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the bear.

The bear’s star moment falling from the tree was captured after it was tranquilised by police as it climbed a campus tree at the University of Colorado.
