So make sure you mark March 28 on your calendar, as Mexican bar and kitchen Benito’s Hat is giving away free braised pork burritos to anyone who comes in wearing a hat and donates £1 to the cause of Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

Finger lickin’ good
And the pop-up bandwagon keeps rolling on … only now, it’s crashed into the gourmet fast food bandwagon, melding into an all-new mutated beast of a bandwagon that we like to call ‘the pop-up gourmet fried chicken bandwagon’.
You can jump on it at The Grafton pub in Kentish Town, where burger maestros Lucky Chip have turned their capable hands to chooks, serving up golden fried, free-range chicken with sides including creamed potatoes and country gravy. Mmm.
Then there’s the Mother Clucker team, who are headed for The Endurance in Soho from March 18 to April 28, dishing out twice-fried chicken marinated in sweet tea brine and awesome Southern-style sides from buttermilk biscuits to waffle cheese fries. Bring on the heart attack!
