The Die Hard star filmed a campaign for Sky’s broadband internet service in which he is seen parading around the company’s offices in nothing but a bath robe, but the ad has now been forced off-air.

Officials at the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority have ruled that the commercial presents misleading pricing information.

According to reports, the spot for BSkyB’s broadband service took aim at competitor and telecom giant BT, and featured small print to explain pricing details, which appeared for 15 seconds during the ad.

Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority said that BSkyB should have used a voiceover to explain all the pricing terms instead of just having on-screen text details.

“We concluded that the ad did not make sufficiently clear the extent of the commitment consumers had to make in order to obtain the broadband service at the advertised price,” the organization said.

The news is the latest blow for the actor, who hit headlines this month when Sylvester Stallone cut him from the cast of The Expendables 3 and branded him “greedy and lazy” for reportedly demanding a $4 million (over £2.5m) for just four days work.
