A porn offer extended to Casey Anthony by Vivid Entertainment has now been withdrawn.
Soon after Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her two-year-old daughter on Tuesday, Anthony’s lawyer received a call from Vivid Entertainment’s Steve Hirsch, who was hoping to strike a business deal by landing Anthony a porn role.
However, Hirsch took back his porn offer after an outcry from Vivid Entertainment fans, saying they wanted nothing to do with Anthony.
“We were ready to make an offer to Casey to star in one of our feature films. It’s clear to me now, however, that there has been an overwhelmingly negative response to our offer and so we’ve decided to withdraw it,” Hirsch told TMZ.
During his initial call to Anthony’s lawyer, Hirsch told TMZ:
"Whether you agree with the verdict or not, Casey will want to move forward with her life and has a right to make a living. It’s not going to be easy for her and we believe we can help her make the transition into a new life.”
In what has been one of the most controversial verdicts in recent memory, Anthony was acquitted of murder on Tuesday after the jury deliberated for over 10 hours.
However, the jury did convict her of four misdemeanour counts of lying to police investigators. She will be sentenced today in Florida, with a maximum sentence of four years in prison.
