Spain’s Real Madrid have reportedly put a speculator out to Manchester City – to see if the English club will pay £150 million for Christiano Ronaldo.
Madrid are well aware of the fact that City are the only club on earth who could afford the world-record fee.
The Eastlands club are denying even thoughts about making a move for former United superstar but The Sun is claiming Spanish the two clubs are in talks.
Ronaldo was a hero to the Old Trafford faithful during his United days and a move to cross-twon rivals City woiuld incense them. Indeed, when Wayne Rooney flirted witht eidea late lkast year, he recieved death threats from the United hardcore.
Apart from the whopping transfer fee, it is reported that Ronaldo would be asking for £300,000 in wages and a five-year deal which would bring the total cost to a mind-boggling £228m.
The Portuguese supremo quit United saying Spanish football was where he belonged. He left went with Sir Alex Ferguson’s blessing because he was moving abroad, rather than to an English club.
But apparently Ronaldo, 26, has fallen out with Real boss Jose ‘The Special One’ Mourinho and the Spaniards’ board are ready to listen to offers for their prize asset.
