What does the name Harper Seven mean?
Both boys and girls are often called Harper in the US.
The most famous Harper is probably Harper Lee, the female author of To Kill A Mockingbird.
The name comes from an old English surname which referred to someone who made of played harps.
Seven is thought to be a lucky number for the Beckhams.
A source told The Sun: "The couple loved the name Harper. It has no hidden meaning – they just fell for the name and think it has a lovely sound.
"They went for Seven as a middle name as they think it is a lucky and spiritual number. And the baby arrived around 7am in July – the seventh month."
Seven was also David's squad number with Manchester United and the England team.
However Twitter users have been less than complimentary about the name Harper Seven.
“Beckham can't be the only person to accidentally name their child after being interrupted doing a crossword. Harper? (7),” tweeted GarethAveyard.
“In light of the Beckhams calling their child Harper Seven Beckham I'm calling my firstborn Steinway Eight-Eight Peri-Peri Nando Chicken,” said platinummind.
While torieloo22 tweeted: “Really laughing. Just told my husband name of new Beckham baby & he genuinely thought I was telling him the time.”
