Former Baywatch heartthrob David Hasselhoff is looking to buy a luxurious $1.9 million (£1.2 million) mansion in Wales.

The actor, 59, and his girlfriend, Welsh honey Hayley Roberts, are reportedly moving in together.

Their preference for a home is on a sprawling estate in Lisvane, an affluent village in the capital city, Cardiff.

A local estate agent told the Daily Mail, "Mr Hasselhoff has picked a great spot to look for an exclusive property. I've lived there for 40 years and brought up three kids – he would have no problem doing the same with his Welsh young lady."

Celeb spotters have noticed Hasselhoff  taking in the sights of Lisvane, and there are reports the big man even checked out a performance of West Side Story at a local school.

Hayley's Roberts' mother, Margaret, is all for the move-in: “If she tells us they are getting

married I’ll be absolutely thrilled.”

Margaret,

six years younger than The Hoff, added: “We love having him around.

He treats Hayley like a lady and he always has that twinkle in his eye.

She told the Daily Mirror: “He has wonderful old-fashioned

manners and is always sending us flowers. It wouldn’t surprise me if

they get engaged and I’ll be walking on air if they do.”

Margaret says: “He pulls a chair up and we all chat about rugby and the weather.

When Britain's Got Talent recently visited Scotland, The Hoff bemoaned the quality of entrants in the country.

It seems he was more than happy with the talent in Wales though.
