Representatives from the secretive nation were upset by a poster in the window for M&M Hair Academy, which showed a picture of Kim with ‘Bad Hair Day?’ emblazoned across it.

Salon manager Mo Nabbach was confronted by two men claiming to be North Korean officials, who demanded that the poster be taken down.

Barber Karim Nabbach told how Mo stood his ground.

“We put up posters for an offer on men’s haircuts throughout April, but we didn’t realise the North Korean embassy is a ten minute walk from the station,” he said.

“The next day, we had North Korean officials pop in to the salon asking to speak to the manager. He said ‘Listen, this isn’t North Korea, this is England, and we live in a democracy – so I’m afraid you’re going to have to get out of my salon.’”

The Supreme Leader’s barnet may have been a particularly hairy subject for the officials, as some unconfirmed reports claim that male students in North Korea are required by law to have the same hair-do as Kim.
