An eight-year-old girl whose beautician mum injected her with Botox to help her win child beauty pageants has been taken into care.
Britney Campbell’s mum Kerry, gave her daughter the anti-wrinkle treatments on a regular basis.
Kerry injected Britney with Botox on US television, prompting a barrage of complaints.
Britney was taken away from her home in San Francisco while they investigate.
Kerry said: “Everyone is doing Botox and talking about it.”
She added: “We are not doing anything illegal, and I don’t want my daughter being the only one who doesn’t have a bit of extra help.”
Britney said that the injections hurt but she said she didn’t want to have wrinkles.
