According to Hello! Magazine, the couple attempted to patch things up, but there were ‘too many issues’ in the way of their romance.
Hello! also stated that it understood that the romance didn’t end because of work commitments or travelling long distances to see each other.
There have been suspicions that all hasn’t been well in Hurley-Warne Land for months. At the end of September, both parties took to their Twitter accounts to tell their side of the story after an odd social media silence, with Liz stating that events were ‘too raw and personal to share right now’. Shane gave hints that all wasn’t lost when he tweeted ‘Yes, we’re sorting through some (private) issues. But we’re not throwing the towel in yet.’ However, it’s fair to assume that a few towels have been thrown of late.
The couple got engaged in 2011 after a year-long romance.
