Timothy B Schmit (Universal)

Schmit fulfils for the Eagles the same role that Ron Wood fulfils in the Rolling Stones: in the band for yonks but still seen as the newbie, precise contribution unknown, silly hairstyle, etc.

Aside from showing off Schmit’s crisp, measured vocals, this album of singer-songwritery rock doesn’t leave the listener any the wiser as to the nature of his talents, though couplets such as “Sailing through the sky/Soaring way up high” reveal that lyric-writing isn’t among them.
