In Australia it’s the Boxing Day Test and the Sydney to Hobart at lunchtime … and if you’re liver and bank balance is up for it, maybe Boxing Day Races.

But in the UK, it’s football galore – after Monday’s top of the table clash between Arsenal and Chelsea (Sky Sports 8pm), there are 30 Premier League games between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. For many clubs it decide the season – for many fans it could be a chance to catch games they don’t usually get the chance to.

The relegation battle is heating up and the top of the table is tighter than a Tokyo train in peak hour – if you’re not hooked yet this could be the chance.
