J.K. Rowling will write no more Harry Potter books, according to Daniel Radcliffe.
Fans have been hoping that Rowling would continue the wizard’s adventures after the author hinted to Oprah Winfrey that she might pen some more books, telling the chat show host “I think I am done but you never know… I love writing them.”
However, Harry Potter star Radcliffe has poured cold water on the claims, telling MTV that Rowling told him in a text there would be no more books.
In an interview promoting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Radcliffe suggested that he’d had enough of playing the child wizard.
Rowling’s text “basically amounted to the fact that she felt I’d been very good in this Harry Potter film and as a reward for that she wasn’t going to make any more Harry Potter films,” said Radcliffe.
He continued: “I’m sure she will be writing other books, but I can pretty much guarantee Harry will not be a feature.”
So there you have it, Potter fans…
