Milan-based Hunter/Game have rightly earned themselves recognition for being big players in the contemporary techno landscape, with their beautifully melodic productions landing on some of the most respected labels in the scene, such as Kompakt, Innervisions and Last Night On Earth. Also founders of the Just This movement, Hunter/Game bring more than hypnotic sets and productions to the table, with their own night and label garnering huge support throughout the international community. Those at this year’s ADE Festival may have been lucky enough to catch the debut of Hunter/Game’s full Live Audio/Visual performance at the Kompakt DGTL Show, which was noted in reviews as something truly special. Alongside a busy touring schedule, they have their first full-length album “Adaptation” set to land on Kompakt Records, February 5th.
Also based in Milan and similarly integral to the Just This movement, Pisetzky will be our supporting headliner for the night bringing his powerful and melancholic sound to Bloc for the first time. An alias only born just over a year ago, he seems to have broken the rule book and already played impactful sets at some of the most notable events & festivals, such as; Off Sonar Barcelona, Social Music City Milan, BPM Festival Mexico, Amore Festival Rome and ADE Festival Amsterdam. Alongside a collaborative work with Hunter/Game on Last Night on Earth, his debut EP on Just This, Pisetzky is also now recognized for his affiliation with Italian super label, Life and Death.
After two new big signings at our agency, Grey Area Bookings, we are very excited to also be welcoming our new acts to their UK debut appearances. Firstly, we have Essen-based, Someone Outside. The German newcomer has wasted no time in building a strong following off the back of his appearances throughout Germany and a string of well received releases and forthcoming works, such as his “Underworld” EP on Dubspeeka’s, Skeleton label. Our second signing this year was just as much of a statement, with the Italian duo, Mathame, joining our roster. Mathame’s artistic nature resides in the realms of obscurity, having self-built their own modular synthesizer and releasing on labels such as Connaisseur, Souvenir and most recently on Vaal’s label, Baastard.
As always, the rest of the Grey Area family will be joining us and doing what they do best. Additionally, we have our dear friends, Tapefeed, joining us after some impressive shows in 2015, bringing ambience to the night’s proceedings.
We have a provisional agreement with the venue to run till 8am, permitting the room is still rocking and our all-important vibe has been preserved.
