What: Ice and Snow Festival

The city of Harbin in China’s freezing north-east comes alive for one of the world’s biggest winter festivals.
There are huge sculptures, lanterns, and even buildings carved out of ice, which are all illuminated with colourful lights and lasers.
At the end of the festival you can take part in the axe-swinging destroy-it-all fun.
