Kyle, 47, was diagnosed shortly before Christmas. He found the lump shortly after flying back from the US, where he had been filming the American version of the Jeremy Kyle Show.

The UK version of the show was nominated for a National TV Award last week, but Kyle was unable to attend the ceremony.

A friend close to Kyle told The Sun:
“Just by chance he noticed he had a lump and decided to get it checked out. When the doctors told him it was toxic it turned his family’s life upside down.”

In the past, Kyle has admitted beating both a gambling addiction and an obsession with cleanliness. As the survival rates for testicular cancer, when caught early, are 97 per cent, his chances of beating this too remain strong.
