The scene: Slotted into the sweeping terrace at the shopping centre’s main entrance, this mid-priced chain restaurant, in hues of cream and brown, is in keeping with Westfield’s looming proportions. An exposed kitchen and open floorplan keep it buzzing. The alfresco tables are primo for people watching.

The grub: It’s fusion food with convincing renditions of Malaysian street fare. Think coconut, spices and verdant herbs, plus first-rate satay sauce. Try Sago Gula Melaka a sweet tapioca dessert.

Behind the bar: There’s a sizeable selection of wines, plus Asahi and Tiger beers.

Bill please: About £40 for a hearty feed for two with wine.

Verdict: If the number of Malaysian diners are anything to go by, it’s the real McCoy.
