The scene Wander into the inconspicuous (bouncer-protected) doorway, up the deep-purple winding stairs to the chic rooftop terrace, taking in views over the busy streets.
There’s also a big screen for film-watching, and ample seating. In the downstairs bar, you’ll find glittering chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, an opulent gold-and-turquoise colour scheme, and bottles of top-notch alcohol behind the bar.
It’s busy when we visit on a Friday night straight from work, but not packed – although it soon will be once the word spreads that there’s a new bar on the scene.
The grub There isn’t any – this place is all about the drinks, so don’t rock up hungry.
Behind the bar Although there’s a bar menu, the staff are all professional mixologists, and will create you a bespoke drink, depending on your taste.
The Passionfruit Collins (gin, passionfruit, passoa, sugar and lemon juice) and CariBEEan (rum, fresh papaya, pineapple, mango and bitters) are both spot-on.
There are also 20 types of whiskey and 11 gins for the connoisseur.
Bill please Cocktails £8; shots from £7; wine £4.80 a glass, £15.50 a bottle.
