London Fashion Week 2011 kicks off on Friday September 16. Bar the odd glass of champagne or dainty macaroon, food is not what you’d first associate with the fashion-pack week of shows, exhibition and parties.

But read on, this year London’s bars and restaurants have gone overboard creating bespoke cocktails and delicacies for LFW. Just don’t ask for full fat.

Fashion macaroons, Sketch, Mayfair

ketch, in Mayfair, has teamed up with online retailer,, to create a three-course fashion lunch, 'my-Gourmet Rapide'.  Glass of champagne and £50 my-wardrobe £50 gift card included.

We’re most excited by the floral, gingham and tropical-style macaroons though.

Daphne Guinness cocktail, Paradise, Kensal Green

Paradise is paying homage to style icon Daphne Guinness with a bespoke cocktail made from Guinness and Chambord, topped with Champagne and garnished with a raspberry.


Oysters and champagne, Massimo Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Just around the corner from the leading catwalks, grab a mixed crudo plate of native rock oysters, mackerel ceviche and calamari with spicy cucumber and a glass of Henriot Brut "Souverain" Champagne NV for £20.

Fat free frozen yoghurt, FRAE

FRAE will be serving its delicious fat free frozen yogurt at

Somerset House in limited edition fashion yogurt biodegradable tubs.


Low calorie champagne, J Sheekey Oyster Bar

Go for a glass of Pol Roger Pure and a half dozen native oysters for £18.75. Pol Roger is has a lower calorie content than most champagnes, don’t ‘cha know.

Sanderson Hotel, Long Bar

The stylish Long Bar at the iconic Sanderson hotel has developed six cocktails, all under 200 calories.


Low-fat ice cream, Freggo

The Argentine ice cream bar on Swallow Street will be  going to be

offering a limited edition serving called the 'LFW Skinny Mini' – the

serve includes low-fat options of the bar's unique Malbec and Berries

and Dulce de Leche ice creams, along with their delicious Passionfruit


Bijoux Afternoon Tea, The Langham London

British jewellery designer Stephen Webster has created the Stephen Webster Bijoux Afternoon Tea. Scoff edible masterpieces reflecting Webster's dramatic statement pieces.

Zoolander model cocktails, Lonsdale, Notting Hill

Slurp a “size zero” cocktail in the name of fashion. Inspired by the

iconic, if not slightly insane, Zoolander, the Lonsdale has designed

two new drinks.



The head chef has designed a LFW menu including beef carpaccio and baked salt crust sea bass – a light, healthy take on Italian food.
