There are historical road and rail vehicles, thousands of posters and artworks, engineering drawings, signs and ephemera from the capital’s road and rail history. From the development of the iconic red buses to the design of London Underground signage, including the world-famous blue banner and red circle logo.
There will be heritage vehicle runs, talks about the history of the black cab, behind the scenes tours, a vintage taxi display with vehicles dating back to 1912, as well as exclusive Depot retail products such as a limited number of Metropolitan line RAW 1960s’ luggage racks from decommission trains.
The depot is only open for this weekend though, so you have a short period of time in which to delve into a most iconic aspect of London’s past.
