The much-loved band, who were massive in the 1980s with songs like Rio, Girls on Film and Ordinary World, have said that their fan club has not made payments it was contractually obliged to make – and the group are asking for £23,500 in damages.
According to NME, the lawsuit shows that Duran Duran and Worldwide Fan Clubs starting working together in 2010. The group are said to receive 75% of all profits, but their lawyer has claimed that Worldwide Fan Clubs is yet to make some outstanding payments.
However, it’s not all bad for Le Bon et al. Earlier on this year, they confirmed they were working on a new album with former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante.
