Michael Bolton appeared in a Jack Sparrow skit for Saturday Night Live (SNL) with Andy Samberg’s fake band, Lonely Island.
The spoof music video features Bolton with tongue-in-cheek hip-hop outfit Lonely Island, a creation of Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg who regularly appear on SNL.
Jack Sparrow sees the blinged-up Lonely Island boys rapping about shagging girls as they large it up in a nightclub.
The video then cuts to Michael Bolton crooning about his love for Pirates Of The Caribbean star Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp in the film).

Lonely Island appear bemused at Bolton’s Jack Sparrow obsession as he continues to interject their hip-hop song with references to the Pirates of the Caribbean films, singing backing lines such as ‘Davey Jones’ and ‘giant squid.’
Bolton then appears as a series of other movie characters, including Forest Gump, Erin Brockovich and Scarface (complete with infamous pile of cocaine).

The piss-taking SNL skit begins with Michael Bolton rocking up to the studio, telling the Lonely Island crew: “Hey guys, really sorry I’m late. I got caught up watching the Pirates Of The Caribbean marathon.
“I listened to your track and I love it. I wrote you this big sexy hook I think you’re gonna really dig. Boys, let’s get to it.”

Michael Bolton appeared on SNL as part of a promotional campaign for his new album Gems, out in June.
The Lonely Island team meanwhile are regular contributors to SNL and have released two comedy song albums to date.
