Instead of rushing him to hospital, the mother bizarrely logged onto WebMD.com, after her 14-year-old son was shot by a friend playing with a gun, according to Santa Fe police.

The incident was captured on the home’s in-house surveillance video system reports Khou.com

Pete Jesse Rodriguez, 24, shot the victim in the upper left thigh. He lay on the floor and then got up, when he and his mum looked up gunshot wounds on WebMD.com. Seven hours later, they drove to hospital.

Detectives charged Rodriguez with one count of injury to a child with intent to commit serious bodily injury while the teenager’s mum was charged with one count of injury to a child with intent to commit bodily injury.
